Emily Reedy serves as director at Skycroft Conference Center, overseeing the staff and day-to-day operations, bookings, retreats and events, including summer camps.
Previous to her work at Skycroft, Emily worked with community engagement campaigns and communication initiatives for Frederick County Public Schools and Washington County Government.
Emily is married to Steven Reedy, a middle school teacher in Frederick.
Emily said she’s a “self-proclaimed townie,” having grown up on the mountain in Boonsboro, not far from Skycroft. Emily. She started working at Skycroft as a lifeguard when she was 15.
“It’s very cool how God has brought me back in my adult life to serve in ministry here!” Emily said.
In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, taking walks with Steven, as well as hiking, kayaking, boating, etc. “…which makes Western Maryland the perfect playground for us!” she says. She also enjoys reading.
Emily is passionate about youth ministry and cherishes the opportunity to serve and minister to the students at her church.
