LAUREL, Md. — The Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware’s (BCM/D) 185th Annual Meeting is just days away. The theme is “Maryland/Delaware Baptists for Christ’s Glory.” Messengers and guests will gather on Nov. 15 at First Baptist Church of Laurel to worship, discuss business, elect officers, and enjoy the fellowship. This year’s meeting is especially significant due to last year’s cancellation on account of COVID-19 restrictions.

COVID-19 precautions
In response to the continuing pandemic, the meeting has been shortened to one day and, due to Prince George’s County’s requirements, all who attend must wear a mask.
Highlights
The general session will begin at 10 a.m. Highlights will include praise and worship led by First Baptist Church of Upper Marlboro’s praise team; a time to honor Kevin Smith, who resigned as the BCM/D executive director in September; a celebration of how God is moving in a variety of churches; and upcoming ministry and equipping opportunities. Additionally, messengers will vote on a slate of officers, the 2022 budget, and submitted resolutions.
BCM/D Interim Executive Director Mark Dooley will share about Vision 2025, including exciting goals regarding church planting, revitalization, baptisms, engagement, Caring Well, and the Cooperative Program.

Registration
All messengers and guests must report to the registration table. Only messengers with MESSENGER CARDS signed by their church clerk or pastor may vote. Messenger cards are different from registration. Contact Margot Painter for questions or clarifications.
Register online. The deadline is 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 14.
