Training for Trainers

BOONSBORO, Md.—The Blue Ridge Baptist Association will host a “Training for Trainers” or “T4T” training class in April at Greenbrier Baptist Church, announced Bruce Conley, director of missions.

Calling it one of the most dynamic movements in the world unfolding in Asia today, T4T was developed by an Baptist Asian-American missionary named Ying Kai. Overwhelmed by the millions of lost souls surrounding him in Asia, Ying asked God to show him how he could be more fruitful. God taught Ying to go beyond his limited vision of planting churches, and showed him how he could train a continually multiplying number of church trainers. The result was what Ying called T4T, Training for Trainers.

In less than a decade, T4T has multiplied a small band of disciples into a movement of more than 80,000 new churches with more than 2 million baptisms.

Today, Ying’s T4T training is being adapted in communities around the world resulting in many new converts to Christ from various backgrounds and cultures.

Rev. Everett Powell, a former pastor and church planter in the Blue Ridge Association’s region, has been certified as a trainer for T4T, and has spent months modifying this training so it will be a great fit for local churches in the association. Conley says this training will help ANYONE in your church who has a passion for or works with evangelism, discipleship, outreach, assimilation, or mission planting.

Conley personally invites churches in the region to send at least one person from their local church to participate in this incredible training class.

Greenbriar Baptist Church will host the training on four consecutive Thursday evenings (April 7, 14, 21, & 28, 2016) from 7-9 p.m. each evening. Greenbriar Baptist is located at 20810 National Pike in Boonsboro, MD 21713 – which is very accessible from all I-70 between Middletown and Hagerstown, Md.

The T4T training is free, but organizers ask that you register ahead of time to ensure they have the proper materials available. Simply go to the BRBA website at www.blueridgebaptist.org and click on the T4T link to register.
