Columbia, MD – CentrePointe Counseling excitedly announces plans to celebrate the nonprofit organization’s 40th anniversary at their 4th Annual “Day of Hope” benefit to be held April 14, 2018 at the Sheraton Columbia Town Center Hotel, 10207 Wincopin Circle, Columbia.

The daytime event will include a brunch while guests mingle and enjoy beautiful views of Lake Kittamaqundi, silent auction and live music performed by regional worship leader, Jason Brown. Keynote speaker, local radio host and author Stacey Stone will engage guests through humorous and inspirational stories of hope. Purchase tickets, $50 per person or $300 per table of eight, online at bit.ly/2018dayofhope. Sponsorship and donation opportunities are also available. Please RSVP by April 4.

For the past 25 years, Stacey Stone has shared her life and her faith on the radio. Working alongside her husband Johnny, she has worked at radio stations in Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago, New York City and now WGTS 91.9 in Washington, D.C. where every weekday afternoon you can hear her encouraging you to take one step closer to Christ.

Stacey is a graduate of Liberty University with a Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling, plus she has her LGPC in the state of Maryland. Having been blessed over the years with speaking engagements across the country, Stacey enjoys speaking directly into people’s lives both on the radio and in person in a way that feels like you have known her for years. Author of three books, including her latest title The Rescued Breed: When Jesus Shows Up and Transforms Your Pack, Stacey counts her husband Johnny and little feisty Ringo as her gifts from God.

CentrePointe hosts Day of Hope to emphasize the urgent need for affordable mental health counseling services. This year’s event is more vital than ever: intake calls to CentrePointe continue to increase, especially as offices have been added in additional local communities, as well as due to the limited availability of mental health providers who will accept insurance or offer reduced fees. Proceeds from the benefit enable CentrePointe to provide sliding scale fees to uninsured and underinsured clients seeking help.
