BEL AIR, Md.—Oak Grove Baptist Church will host International Christian illusionist David Laflin from 6 to 7 pm on March 23. Laflin uses interactive illusions to explain the Gospel, striving to make it understandable for all ages.

Laflin’s parents taught him to perform illusions and included him and his brother and sisters in the family ministry.

When he and his wife Teesha felt drawn to minister in India, the couple was amazed at how God opened doors through the use of illusions. When they returned to the United States, churches began to request the couple share their illusion ministry. They now minister full time, sharing with churches, at workshops, conferences and other special events.

“The illusions will blow your mind,” said Trey Wooton, minister to children and senior adults, noting most importantly, they always lead their audience to Jesus. “Everything they do points back to the Gospel,” he said.

Wooton met Laflin at a conference in California and the men became friends through the years.

David, or he and Teesha together, return to Oak Grove often. “They are always very well received,” Wooton shared, saying the performances appeal to all ages.
