Valley Baptist Church will have a movie night on August 31 featuring “God’s Not Dead.” Members will bring their favorite snacks to share. The church is using the movie night as an evangelistic outreach, encouraging members to invite friends and family

The church recently participated in Middletown’s National Night Out at Oak Hill Park.  They manned a church booth and a moon bounce and gave away balloon animals and Bibles.

Valley church members are also collecting winter clothing to help a sister church in Whitley City, Ky.

Colesville Baptist Church will begin their AWANA  program on Sept. 7.  Children who attended the church’s VBS gave $97.92 to Baby’s Bounty, a program in Montgomery County that helps mothers and babies.

Oak Grove Church had its Christmas in July program revealing plans for their annual Christmas program in December.

The church collected over $2,000 from a VBS missions collection for a missionary in Canada who serves the urban homeless community.

Welsh Baptist Church will serve their community through a clothes closet in September. They’re also planning a parents’ night out. While the parents have a night to themselves, the children will enjoy a one-evening Vacation Bible School program.

Leonardtown Baptist Church  is preparing for its annual Moldova Mission Trip Oct. 10 to 18. An eight to 10 person team will minister at children’s day camps and adult Bible studies in Chisinau.

Emmanuel Baptist Church of Gambrills  will have a kid’s stuff flea market from 8 am to noon on Sept. 6, with a rain date for Sept. 13. The church has several flea markets throughout the year as a community service and outreach.

South Shore Baptist Church  will host the Arundel Baptist Network Leadership Impact leadership development seminar from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. For more information call the ABN office 410-647-0507.

Crossroads Church  collected shoes for children for Soles4Souls.  The non-profit organization partners with churches and civic groups to provide new and used shoes and clothing to people in need both in the United States and abroad.
