Pastor to Lead Hispanic Congregation First Baptist Church of Laurel (FBCL) in Maryland is seeking an experienced pastor to lead our Hispanic congregation. The position is full-time and salaried.

First Baptist Church of Laurel is a missions-minded, multi-cultural church located midway between Baltimore and Washington, D.C. On any given Sunday, we have approximately 40 different nations represented with services in three languages. The Hispanic, Korean, and English congregations work together to reach the community of Laurel with the Gospel.

The Hispanic pastor will provide oversight and implementation of all aspects of the Spanish-speaking ministry, which currently serves about 120 people on Sunday. The Hispanic pastor will eventually become an elder of First Baptist Church of Laurel. The Hispanic pastor is responsible for the Biblical teaching, spiritual care of the members, and evangelistic outreach of the Hispanic congregation. The Hispanic pastor primarily will work with the key Hispanic leadership in the development and implementation of the following strategies: family groups, worship services, leadership development, and making disciples of Christ.

Qualifications include being a spiritually mature Christian as found in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1; ability to be a team player: humble, hungry, and relationally intelligent; a bachelor’s degree, an M.Div. or above preferred; theologically in agreement with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000; bilingual in Spanish and English, although Spanish should be his native language; a minimum of three years ministry experience, preferably in a Hispanic congregation; technologically literate, culturally relevant and an exceptional communicator; and the ability to pass a criminal, financial, and sexual misconduct background check

Responsibilities include preaching 40-45 sermons annually; developing and equipping other leaders to preach via a preaching lab; enhancing the development of leaders using the “Leadership Pipeline” strategy; developing and evaluating family groups; coordinating an evangelistic strategy that will most effectively reach the Hispanic community in the greater Laurel area; identifying and training leaders to be outward (missional) focused; identifying and training men who will become elders and deacons within FBCL; overseeing key ministry systems for the Spanish-speaking ministry; communicating and clarifying the vision, strategy, and goals of FBCL to the congregation; ensuring a unified partnership among the Spanish, English, and Korean congregations; attending regular/weekly staff meetings and quarterly church members’ meetings; and other pastoral duties including, but not limited to, administering ordinances, weddings, funerals, staff trainings, hospital visits, counseling, etc.

Marketing and Outreach Coordinator – Olney Baptist Church (OBC) seeks a part-time marketing and outreach coordinator. This person will be primarily responsible for developing and maintaining a social media presence including, but not limited to, the church website and the OBC app, Facebook, YouTube, and other video messaging, and graphic design methods of social media outreach to our community sharing activities and events at OBC.

This person will serve as the “face of OBC” with regard to the church’s social, digital, and media presence; manage and update the church website using web-based software; oversee graphic design for social media, sermon series, and the church newsletter; oversee the greeter ministry for the church; make weekly welcome/announcement “bumpers” for sermon series and video trailers for events, and create social media campaigns for OBC outreach events through social media ads, fliers, and other media; develop and maintain a social media presence within the community (i.e., Facebook, Instagram); create of an OBC image catalog/library for use in video and fliers, and actively communicate and coordinate with group leaders in the ministry sub-components; prepare an annual budget request for the social media and outreach activities; manage the budget; prepare updates as necessary for OBC business meetings, and provide appropriate support for OBC committees and ministries.

This is a salaried part-time position of 20 hours each week. The salary is $30,000 per year and includes five vacation days. Overtime is not available and health insurance is not included with the position.

Family Ministries Pastor — First Baptist Church of Martinsburg in Martinsburg, West Virginia, seeks a family ministries pastor to oversee the student ministry of the church and to equip parents to lead their children and teenagers spiritually. Paid Pastoral Internship North Harford Baptist Church in Jarrettsville, Maryland, is offering a paid pastoral internship. We are looking for a man who is called to the ministry, has a burden to work with youth and young adults, lives in the North Harford area, and could give 20 hours a week in ministry.
