BALTIMORE, Md.—Freedom Church, 5310 Hazelwood Avenue, Baltimore, will host “The Upper Room” prayer conference on Sept. 29 to 30. Sessions are from 7 to 9 pm on Friday, and from 7 am to 1:30 pm on Saturday. Each day includes a time of worship, prayer, a message, and more prayer.
Michael Crawford, pastor of Freedom Church, said “The Upper Room” is unique—prayer is the primary focus. The messages and music will be focused on prayer and portions of the conference space will be dedicated to praying on the ground with mats and pillows provided.
Speakers include Crawford as well as Baltimore Police Lt. Col. Melvin Russell, chief of the department’s community collaboration division; Michael Catt, senior pastor of Sherwood Baptist Church, Albany, Ga.; Dan Hyun, lead pastor of The Village Church, Baltimore; and Karen Angela Ellis, a Ph.D. candidate in church history at Oxford Centre for Missions Studies.
“We believe our greatest need is for God to move in us, our neighborhoods, cities, states, and world,” Crawford said. “When this conference is over, we will have spent more time praying than on anything else.”
There is no charge and lunch will be provided. Register online.
