Guest Speaker

Brenda Poinsett is a life-long learner, a wise and witty teacher, a compelling speaker, and an award-winning writer. With a degree in education from Southern Illinois University and a master’s degree from Southwestern Seminary, Brenda taught math, sociology, and Bible literature at the high school and college levels before leaving the classroom to teach life-changing knowledge. She does this mainly through speaking and writing.

As a speaker, she gives keynote addresses and leads breakout sessions at conferences, retreats, and conventions. She also does lighter fare at special events such as luncheons and banquets. She works at perfecting her communication skills through memberships in the National Speakers Association and Toastmasters International.

As a writer, she shares biblical insights with life application. She’s the author of twenty books including He Said What?!, He Did that?!, Wonder Women of the Bible and The Friendship Factor.

Brenda and her husband Bob, also a speaker, have three grown sons, one daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren. They live in Union, Missouri, where Bob and Brenda study and prepare their presentations in their book-lined offices.

Breakout Sessions

Melody T. Knox

In this conference we will discuss some practical ways to make disciples by sharing Christ with those we are around every day. We will glean some ideas from the book Unscripted by Jeff Iorg, which will encourage us to shake off stale evangelism techniques and to embrace a way of life that connects each of us with the spiritual power needed for effective witnessing and for building meaningful relationships through which our witness can flow.

Operation Christmas Child

Connie will share how a simple gift is changing hearts, families and entire villages.
