2 Corinthians 4:16-18
“So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. 17 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 18 as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.”
It’s been a long, frustrating, and challenging last six months! But God…we have seen Him moving in new ways as we have been challenged to RENEW our ministries. Let’s come together as we learn how to:
ReNew our relationships with children and families after COVID-19
ReNew our ministries as we adjust to new ways of gathering
ReNew our passion for children’s ministry after a season of momentary affliction
One of our main focuses will be on the mental state of our children as we begin to regather. Our children have all experienced some form of trauma over the last six months; some, more than others. Some, who were already struggling with trauma, have been buried under the weight of it all. And others are simply struggling to deal with the world being turned upside down. Let’s come together as parental allies and prepare ourselves to serve our children and families to the best of our ability. That means digging deep into kids’ minds to gain a better understanding of what their behaviors may look like in the fall and how we can best serve them.
Our role as children’s ministry leaders has pivoted to more than choosing curriculum and crafts. It’s building up spiritual champions, mentoring families as they discover how to disciple their children at home and helping parents and children cope with the changes in their lives. Families are looking to you for help and guidance. It’s our responsibility to stretch ourselves to lead the best way we can in the environment God has entrusted us with. Join us for this half day conference as we RENEW our ministries and our passion!
