Church interim ministry comes in a variety of packages.  A Transitional Interim Pastor (TIP) helps a church to reconnect with their past, fully assess their present, and better understand their immediate future by looking deeply at their mission field.

Churches in periods without pastors need experienced, sanctified, and wise leadership. Their needs are unique, and their leadership must be specially qualified and willing to accept difficult challenges.

The methods proposed in our TIP certification training reflect understandings developed by formal, informal, and extensive research by LifeWay Christian Resources and others as to the unique needs of churches without pastors.

Our Guest Trainer: Dr. Dan Garland

Dr. Dan Garland is the former Director of Church Partnership and Pastoral Ministries for LifeWay Christian Resources. He has been a Chaplain, Associate Pastor, and Senior Pastor in various churches throughout Kentucky and Ohio. Additionally, he has served as an Interim/Transitional Pastor for 15 congregations. Dr. Garland has a Doctorate in Ministry from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He has been married to Charlene for over 43 years.
