This two-day Wilderness First Aid course is specifically geared toward Disaster Relief volunteers and church volunteers
involved in international mission trips but is open to anyone.

The course will teach participants how to respond to medical emergencies and trauma situations in environments where
emergency medical services may be significantly delayed and hospital emergency departments are not readily available. The course follows the American Red Cross Wilderness and Remote First Aid and American Safety and Health Institute’s Wilderness First Aid curriculum, and includes High Performance CPR and the American College of Surgeons Committee on
Trauma Bleeding Control protocols.

The two-day course will be taught in five sessions:
Friday: 8:30 AM—9:30 PM
Saturday: 8:30 AM—5:30 PM

This event is sponsored by Disaster Relief. Participants with a valid Disaster Relief badge receive a DR discount.
Registration fee includes materials, meals, overnight lodge accommodations.
1 night (Friday), Friday lunch—Saturday lunch (4 meals):
$100 (DR rate:$75)
2 nights (Thursday/Friday), Friday breakfast—Saturday lunch (5 meals) $125 (DR rate: $100)

Housing note: Pine Tree Lodge has two sleeping areas twin size bunk beds and can accommodate up to 20 women and 20
men. Each sleeping area has restroom facilities and 4 showers. Linens and pillows are NOT furnished.
