
UPPER MARLBORO, Md—First Baptist Church of Upper Marlboro (FBC Upper Marlboro) will host “Transform, teaching that changes lives,” from 8 am to 2:45 pm on Sept. 20 at the church. The conference featured speaker will be David Francis, director of Sunday School at LifeWay Christian Resources.
Registration is from 8 to 8:30 am followed by a rally with Francis. There will be breakout sessions in the morning and afternoon sessions.Tracks include specific information for a variety of teaching ministries: Preschool through sixth grade; students, young adults, median and senior adults, Sunday School directors and ministers of education and pastors.
The goal of the conference is to equip every Bible study teacher to teach God’s word in a way that brings transformation to their students’ lives. Emphasis is given to the meaning of transformational teaching, practical methods, preparation and classroom dynamics.
The conference is usually $35 but is $25 at FBC Upper Marlboro thanks to a $10 scholarship provided by the Mid-Atlantic Baptist Network and the District of Columbia Baptist Convention. Lunch will be provided. For more information or to register, visit LifeWay.
