PORT DEPOSIT, Md.—Pleasant View Baptist Church will host “The 5 Love Languages” Marriage Conference from 8 am to 4 pm on March 3, featuring Gary Chapman, author of the book of the same name.

Chapman, who has served as a pastor for 35 years and as a marriage counselor, is a sought-after author and speaker. He and his wife, Karolyn, have been married for 45 years and have, through God’s help, weathered the many ups and downs of marriage. Chapman is authentic, and open as he shares his personal experiences, and the wisdom of his many years of counseling. Those experiences led him to publish his first book, “The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts.” The book, a New York Times Best Seller, continues to be very popular.

Since the original book, Chapman wrote many companion books for teens, singles, men and parents. In addition, he’s written many books to encourage families including, “The Family You’ve Always Wanted,” “The Marriage You’ve Always Wanted,” “Desperate Marriages,” “God Speaks your Love Language,” “How to Really Love Your Adult Child,” and “One More Try.”  He also wrote a book called, “Keeping Love Alive as Memories Fail,” about loving through Alzheimer’s disease.

Chapman will have a book table with many varieties of books for purchase.

The cost is $44 for a single ticket or $69 per couple and the cost includes a Chick-fil-A lunch. Register online.
