It’s amazing when you think about birthing a church, you never know the outcome because God holds the future of that church, shared Michael Mattar, missionary to language churches in Montgomery Baptist Association, and the founding pastor of Hope Fellowship Church in Sterling, Va.
“A lot of times we think we have to be big to do big things for the Lord. But you have to start when you are small.”
Mattar is the point person for the Embrace Silver Spring process. Specifically, he seeks to help with English as a Second Language, civic training to lead people to citizenship and an immigration consultation ministry.
“That’s the way to reach out to this densely populated, diverse community,” he said.
