HUGHESVILLE, Md.—Hughesville Baptist Church will present an evening with “The Mike Speck Trio” at 6 pm on April 
21. The trio includes Mike, his wife, Faye, and their daughter, Melody VanNus. They’ll sing with the backing of a mass choir comprised of singers from Potomac Baptist Association churches.
Mike says the music is eclectic to reach a broad spectrum of listeners. “We’ll do music from Matt Maher and Chris Tomlin to Gospel favorites from Dottie Rambo.” It’s a real mix, he said.
The congregation will also have lots of opportunities to sing along.
Mike Speck has performed as a guest artist in ministries with Charles Stanley and David Ring.
He has served as minister of music at Thomas Road Baptist Church, Lynchburg, Virginia, and at First Baptist Church of Indian Trail, North Carolina. He was the choir director for the Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting in 1988.
