UPPER MARLBORO, Md.—Kettering Baptist Church will host WAVA’s, “The Gathering DC,” and a Pastors Appreciation Lunch on May 3, at their new “Legacy Center,” 6909 Crain Highway. The guest speaker will be Tony Evans, founder and president of “The Urban Alternative,” and senior pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, Dallas, Texas.

The event is in conjunction with the National Day of Prayer. “The Gathering DC” is intended to bring together pastors and leaders for a prayer time, focusing on the nation.

Kettering Church will lead in praise and worship and Senior Pastor Bucas Sterling III will participate in a panel discussion on spiritual discipleship.

“I would encourage other pastors to participate in this event because if we can’t come together to fellowship on any other issue, we really, as a country, need the spiritual leaders to come together to petition the Living God for such a time as this that we find ourselves experiencing. It’s time for us as leaders to rise up and lead. Please come. The world needs us now.”

Pastors, their spouses, and full-time ministry workers and their spouses are invited to the Pastor Appreciation Lunch.

Registration begins at 8 am, The Gathering DC begins at 9 am, and lunch is from noon to 2 pm.

The lunch is free but tickets are required.
