PASADENA, Md.—Lake Shore Baptist Church (LSBC) will host
an end-of-summer concert at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 28 featuring Nashville-based Gospel singer Wendell Jewell.
Jewell sang with the Call to Worship Quartet, a popular group that traveled nearly 20 years throughout the mid-South sharing Gospel music with various churches.
In 2005, they won the Songfest Talent Review, providing them an opportunity to record two CDs with legendary producer/Southern Gospel pioneer Ben Speer.
Wendell also spent time singing back-up vocals for his son, Trey Jewell, an aspiring Country musician.
Wendell is now a solo act. Jon Brewer, LSBC’s worship pastor, will accompany him on Sunday. Other LSBC musicians will also participate.
Church members will serve light refreshments following the program.
