language festival 2016-72SILVER SPRING, Md—The Mid-Atlantic Baptist Network will host a Language Music Celebration from 5 to 8 pm on Palm Sunday, March 20, at Global Mission Church.

The well-attended and much anticipated annual celebration is an opportunity for international Christians to gather, attired in their native dress, and worship in songs of their own language. The different tongues and nations represented, worshiping Jesus together has often been referred to as “a taste of heaven.”

Network Church Multiplication Strategist Michael Mattar said the celebration is very well attended, only second to the Network Annual Celebration.

About a dozen different ethic groups will be represented including Korean, Asian, African, Chinese, Bhutanese, and Nepali.

An international dinner follows the celebration.

Mattar said the event, especially the dinner, is a great opportunity for members of language churches to meet and network with other local church members and leaders.

“We are extremely grateful to Dennis Kim and his staff at Global Mission Church for always working so hard to make sure the facilities are open for the language music festival,” Mattar said.
