
SILVER SPRING, Md.—Georgia Avenue Baptist Church, 12525 Georgia Avenue, will host the annual Montgomery Baptist Association (MBA) fall revival at 7:30 nightly, Oct. 15-18, 2017.
Chaplain (Major General) Douglas Carver, United States Army, Retired, executive director of chaplaincy services for the North American Mission Board will be the guest speaker.
Carver provides support to 3,600 Southern Baptist Chaplains throughout the world. He retired from the United States Army in 2011 after serving 38 years. His last duty was as the 22nd Army Chief of Chaplains at the Pentagon. In addition to his time in the military, Carver pastored churches in Colorado, Kentucky, North Carolina and Virginia.
The association’s annual meeting will precede the revival on Oct. 15. Registration for the meeting is at 4 pm followed by the meeting from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. A light dinner will be served between the meeting and revival services.
