ELKRIDGE, Md.—Evangelist Franklin Graham, president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Associations and CEO of Samaritan’s Purse, is traveling throughout the United States this year to hold prayer rallies, preach the Gospel and challenge believers to live out their faith, to vote and to take action.

The prayer rally for Delaware will be in Dover at noon on Sept. 13 at the State House Front Steps, 411 Legislative Ave, Dover. Graham will lead the rally in Maryland at the Lawyers Mall, 100 State Circle, Annapolis, Md., at noon on Oct. 11.

Many Network pastors joined other evangelical leaders from a variety of denominations throughout Maryland, at a luncheon on July 7 at the historic Elkridge Furnace Inn, to pray, to be encouraged and to begin making plans on how to be involved in this year’s rally.

Lori Boutieller, Decision America Tour Field Representative, said the mission of Decision America is to, “proclaim God and pray fervently and to boldly live out the faith.”

Steve Rhoads, vice president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, read Psalm 116, “I love the Lord, for He heard my voice; He heard my cry for mercy. Because He turned His ear to me, I will call on Him as long as I live.”

Rhoads said the scripture is a beautiful picture of a loving God who, like a father, or a grandfather, wants to bend down and pick us up, to hold us in his arms. “The most primitive form of worship is calling on the name of the Lord,” Rhoads said. “His ear is inclined to our cry…God, who created all…when we call, He bends down.”

Decision America tour is primarily a call to prayer, Rhoads told the crowd of over 150 Christian leaders‑it’s a call to revival.

Attendees spent time praying at their tables and they sang “Blessed Be the Ties that Bind” as closing.

Volunteers are needed to help with the event including greeters, registration help, prayer, helping with traffic and more.
