UKRAINE RELIEF

Baptists are bringing help and hope to displaced individuals and families in Ukraine during the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

As hundreds of thousands of people flee Ukraine in the aftermath of Russia’s invasion, Baptist Send Relief and partner organizations in Eastern Europe are ministering to refugees while also making plans for long-term relief efforts. The United Nations estimates that, as of March 2, more than one million people have already escaped from Ukraine into neighboring countries, including Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia.

SEND Relief is also working with local Baptist partners in Ukraine to respond to the growing humanitarian crisis by ministering to displaced families still within the country.

The BCMD has begun networking with partners and churches in and around Ukraine to prepare for the potential resettlement of refugees in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Prayer and financial assistance are currently the greatest needs. The Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware (BCM/D) has established a giving portal and created a prayer guide with up-to-date requests.

Your financial gifts to the BCM/D’s Ukraine Relief response will go directly towards providing immediate assistance with emergency food supplies, shelter, and other urgent needs, as well as longer-term relief for those impacted by this crisis.
