KENSINGTON, Md.—Kensington Baptist Church will welcome the award winning music group “Redhot & Blue,” in concert at 3 pm on March 10.
“Redhot & Blue” is Yale University’s oldest undergraduate co-ed acappella group. They’ve released a dozen albums and they tour nationally and internationally each year.
Distinctively dressed in black tuxedoes and red gowns, the group presents a mixed repertoire of jazz, Broadway, pop and more.
“They’re one of our favorites!” said Kensington Baptist Church Pastor Bill George.
“We’ve been blessed with excellent acoustics in our sanctuary, one of the best in Montgomery County. As a result, we have quite good quality,” George said, adding that acapella sounds especially good in the church.
A reception, with light refreshments, will follow the concert allowing folks to fellowship and meet the artists.
George said the concert is a great opportunity for members to bring friends and family to the church. All are welcome. There is no charge, but donations are accepted.
